To our valued patrons and visitors,

We are sad to announce we are cancelling the library’s myLibro mobile app and our subscription to AtoZ Databases (a business database the library pays for so you can have access to it for free). This was a difficult decision, but due to recent state and federal legislation, we are forced to cut corners.

Recent legislation in Indiana, especially Senate Enrolled Act 1 (SEA 1), is cutting public library funding by reducing state library budgets, eliminating grants for internet access, and diminishing allocations of local income and property taxes. These funding cuts to public library budgets will force libraries to cut costs that may include reduced hours, staff, and services. Additionally, the elimination of federal funding for the Institute of Museum and Library Services further jeopardizes Indiana’s public libraries and museums.

Thank you to all of our faithful patrons and library users. Know that we do not make these decisions without careful consideration of the impact on our community. We do all of our work for you and we are pained that we have to make these decisions.

Please note, the library’s myLibro mobile app subscription will expire 10/31/25 and the subscription to AtoZ Databases will end on 1/31/26.
