Presenter Info

Katie Lorton is the Director of Research and Branch Services for Ball State University Libraries.  Guided by over 17 years of experience in public, community college, and four-year academic libraries, Katie leads the Libraries' educational programming with a focus on building research skills and 21st century digital competencies. 

She has over eight years of instructional experience with higher education and community audiences.  She holds a Master's of Library Science from Indiana University, and a B.A. in English from Ball State University.  A lifelong resident of East Central Indiana, she joined the University Libraries in 2023.
