Phil Dunlap is a longtime journalist, freelance writer, and author.  Over the years he has been a correspondent for the Indianapolis Star (Nine years), plus writing numerous articles for Indiana Business, Plane & Pilot Magazine, Sport Aviation, The Good Old Days, The Christian Herald, and many other regional and local publications.

He has six traditionally published novels to his credit, one of which, "Saving Mattie", won the 2009 EPIC Award for Best Historical Western in the e-book version.  Another, "Blood on the Rimrock", was a finalist in the Best Books of Indiana competition for 2009, sponsored by the Indiana State Library and the Library of Congress.
